Hey. Saw on WCM, where they would be releasing evidence that hasn't been made public on NewsChannel 9 @ 6. Please check back here for more information on that. I will try and add everything I can as the report is being made.

lying to investigators, invasion of privacy, violating police officers oath - I heard something about tampering but I am sure that is just the legal for one of the above.

When I first read this, I thought you were talking about Sam was charged with 3 things; now, I see you were answering the question about Ben's charges. There are also more charges they could stick Sam with, like some of the ones they have Ben on. I'm wondering if they aren't holding back some charges just in case the unthinkable happens and he is found not guilty (since they couldn't recharge him with murder). Of course, the penalty for those crimes wouldn't be anywhere near what he deserves for murder, but any time in jail would be better than none. I feel they must be confident that they can get a conviction though or they wouldn't have gone ahead with it right now. In my speculation, I think they feel the time is right now b/c they've given some time to find her and still haven't and they must be thinking that there is a chance they won't ever find her. In that case, it's easier to get a conviction for murder now than waiting until the crime is 10 or 15 years old b/c people feel more sorry for the accused and think it's possible that even if he is guilty that he's probably changed, and he would have the sympathy of a lot of jurors b/c he would look older and more frail at the time of a trial if they waited years and years. They also question if he's guilty why did the police wait so long and think about the fact that it's been 10 or 15 years and he hasn't been accused of any other crimes so he must not be a danger to society. A lot of the emotion is taken out of it and it's just harder to get a conviction, so I think they are probably just wanting to go ahead with it, just in case they don't find her body to make the evidence even more stronger. lying to investigators, invasion of privacy, violating police officers oath - I heard something about tampering but I am sure that is just the legal for one of the above.

But there is more. I heard that there were for additional charges but here I only count the 1 for murder and only 3 additional charges. I would think they could charge him with more than just this as well. Especially if they are charging him with murder. You'd think there would be much more since he disposed of her body and much much more. New Charges for Sam Parker New charges have been brought against Sam Parker. He was indicted on murder charges in the death of his wife Tuesday with additional charges of making false statements, computer invasion of privacy and violation of oath by a public officer. Parker was arrested Monday in connection with the disappearance of his estranged wife. She's been missing for 11 months. He's being held at the Floyd County jail. www.wrcbtv.com/news/index.cfm?sid=2469
