Time traveler I am sure that there are more places being "searched". Most of the searches are being made public as far as the ground searches. I was just curious as to where the people that are able have been. I know that when the pond was drained one person from Dalton area drove up and checked that out - Just wondering if any individual has been going out looking without LE? I am sorry I do believe that most of the searches have been brought to the public - for instance, the ground searches, the pond being drained, the Cordell home. So I am thinking that it isn't only LE that know what has been searched.

I was one of the ones who searched the area of the pond that was drained. My dog did not 'alert' around or near the pond. His alerts (two) were on the finger ridge above the pond. Later during the day a 2nd dog team was brought in to confirm the alerts (SOP). They indeed did confirm the first alerts. This was the reason for draining the pond.
When checking out at the end of the day we were informed divers were being sent to the pond to search. The decision was made to drain as the pond was filled with brush and debris and was a safety concern for the divers.
Don't know all the details of the case but I do know, from an outsider looking in, I think all of Walker County's Emergency Services personnel did a fantastic job in detailing, organizing and conducting both searches. I understand the impatience with everyone wanting closure to this case but I highly commend Walker County's Emergency Service.

Searcher...........please excuse my ignorance, but what do you mean by "the finger ridge above the pond"? and does "above" mean North, or a higher area?
Thanks.

Not sure how to do a link, so this may not work. Found this article, which provides a little further info. than the article posted at the other site. www.timesfreepress.com/ShowStoryTemplate.asp?Path=ChatTFPress/2007/07/11&ID=Ar01001&Section=Metro/RegionDispatcher search moves to Dade Dade County Sheriff Patrick Cannon said authorities searched the area off Highway 136 Saturday for missing Walker County 911 dispatcher, Theresa Parker. “Someone had reported possibly seeing, in the same time frame that she became missing, a vehicle similar to hers,” Sheriff Cannon said. Authorities searched the area with cadaver dogs but found nothing new, Sheriff Cannon said. LAFAYETTE, GA.
