www.knoxnews.com/news/2008/jan/07/authorities-body-found-tentatively-idd-missing-mcm/ATHENS, Tenn. - A decomposed body found in rural McMinn County late Sunday has been tentatively identified as Lisa Leginia Jamison, a woman who disappeared last November. "The description and characteristics match those of the woman, but the body has been transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for an autopsy," Sheriff Steve Frisbie said. The body was found about 50 feet off County Road 250, near the intersection of County Road 215. Sheriff Frisbie said a local resident, Robert Ryden, was walking along the roadway when he saw what he thought was a garbage bag lying in the leaves. When he walked over to the location, he saw the body and called 911. Deputies and local rescue departments were called to the scene. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation was also involved in examining the scene. "This is being handled as a homicide," Frisbie said. Family members were notified early Monday of the finding. Jamison was reported missing by her husband and father in early November. Her van was later found in a parking lot of an Athens' housing project according to police reports. Frisbie said since the disappearance there had been no sign of the woman or her possessions. He said no credit cards had been used since she went missing.

This article is about a girl from Knoxville, TN. Her husband and father had reported her as missing last November, about 2 months ago.
Her body was found late Sunday afternoon by a man walking in the woods. She had been placed in a garbage bag. The body was already badly decomposed despite the relatively short time (as compared to March 2007) and the cooler weather.
