LaFAYETTE, Ga. — Authorities today used a remote operated video camera to look inside an abandoned well south of here and to search the Blue Hole area on Pigeon Mountain, but found no body or clues in the case of Theresa Parker. “There is no reason to believe she is there. Those are just areas that could be of interest,” Sheriff Steve Wilson said about the searches. Searches had no luck finding anything new, however, and the cold and deep water of the cave water hole on Pigeon Mountain may have been too much for the robotic camera on loan from the Walker County Water Authority. Mrs. Parker, a former Walker County 911 dispatcher, has been missing for more than a year. Her estranged husband, Sam Parker, is charged with her murder and is jailed in a neighboring county awaiting trial. Officers from the Walker County Sheriff’s Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation spent several hours looking at some areas that have been covered during extensive previous searches. After finding nothing in the abandoned well near Cane Creek, south of LaFayette, authorities went to the deep hole on Pigeon Mountain where it was speculated someone might try to conceal a body. They were searching the Pigeon Mountain water hole when the robotic camera malfunctioned. . Meanwhile, Sheriff Wilson urged area property owners, especially those south of LaFayette, to continue to be diligent about searching their property for anything that might be a clue in the missing woman’s case. www.timesfreepress.com/news/2008/apr/10/police-search-clues-theresa-parker-case/
