Since it is likely a boat was used to transport the body, has the boat been impounded and sent to a modern crime lab for a thorough analysis of all fiber and other evidence?
Also, the suspect and attorney have cell phones. Have the GPS printouts of the locations of their cell phones confirmed their alibi regarding their whereabouts?
And what is the attorney saying? What is his reputation for ethics and integrity?
Since two state lines are nearby, and it is very possible the body may have been transported over one of the state lines, has the FBI been brought into the investigation?

I've been wondering myself if the boat has been checked by the GBI....no reports of this yet but surely that is one of the first things they would have done since he said he was there to get the motor and went fishing the very next day. Wilson acted from the very beginning like he didn't think that trip had anything to do with this case though and even at one point in response to a question by a viewer it was said that "no, he didn't use her for fish bait" and Wilson agreed, saying the story had been corroberated by Slack and they felt confident they had ruled that out as his story matched a local attorney's. Surely though, the GBI would have checked into this just to be sure even if they believed the story about fishing with the attorney was most likely true; I don't think they would have been as quick to rule it out just because a local attorney said so. Maybe they just haven't made this info public.
They also haven't commented on the cell phones of Slack or Chaffin but again, I would think they would have subpoened those records and checked into that.
The FBI has been brought in and in fact served the last search warrant on the Cordell Residence. Hopefully, this will all come to a resolution soon and we'll get more answers....
