Culprit(s) should pay 02/07/08 Respond to this story Email this story to a friend Dear editor: Sam Parker is one of my friends and I’m having a hard time believing that he actually murdered his wife — or rather, I don’t want to believe it. Sam helped me avoid some serious legal trouble when I was in high school and I’ve been friends with him since then. I would like to let the family of Mrs. Parker know I am sorry for their loss and that I hope if Sam did murder her (even though he’s my friend), he gets the maximum sentence that is permitted by Georgia law. I was taught all my life that if you do something (right or wrong), then you should accept the consequences of those actions. If you break the law, you should have to spend time in prison — or in the case of murder, be executed. If you do something that helps out someone else or society in general, then you should be recognized by society and be looked up to. Regardless of the outcome of this case, I want Mrs. Parker to receive the justice she deserves, which means I want the person(s) responsible for her disappearance and/or murder to pay for their crimes. found this and thought I'd post it and thought since they were a friend of Sam's that this would be the appropriate place for it.
