I think that SP has enough information on the local officials in the LaFayette, GA area that they are nervous about putting any pressure on SP. They apply pressure on SP and he exposes information about them! What a concept? The longer the officials side step and dance around the more likely that any forensic evidence is likely NOT to be found on the body of TP. How sad this would be for the person responsible to get by with murder and continue to cause grief and pain to the TP family and community. How much info do they need to make an arrest and start getting the RIGHT answers?

Some of the most important information in the TP case can be found on a local Chattanooga TV station story. Just go to www.wrcbtv.com (Search: Theresa Parker) and then click on the story: Team Coverage: Sam's History Christine and Hilda (Theresa sisters) have reported that Sam said, " I will never go through another divorce". They, also, reported that SP had been extremley nice to Theresa leading up to her disappearance. Also, for the first time he had agreed to give Theresa a $20,000.00 divorce settlement on Friday March 23, 2007. She was schedlued to move to her new home on Thursday and Friday March 22nd & 23rd, 2007 Other information can be found on local TV, Atlanta TV and newspapers news stories. When I add up 2 + 2 I still get 4 Why has no agressive intergation taken place with SP?

I think an aggressive interrogation has taken place. We just don't know the exact details of it. He has been questioned by local LE, GBI, and the FBI. They have done multiple searches of his homes and vehicles. Believe me - even if some of the local LE was afraid he might could tell stuff he knew, the GBI and FBI and the ones handling the investigation and he didn't work for them and couldn't know anything about anybody high enough to try and make them botch the investigation. If this case could be solved already, I believe it would have been. I honestly believe the authorities know what happened as far as who did what, they just have to find Theresa and build a case strong enough to convict Sam. We don't want them to rush to arresting him and then him be found not guilty and Theresa's body and more evidence turn up after that because they can't go back and try him again. We have to be patient and as long as the family thinks LE is doing what they can I have faith in them because the family is privy to more info than we are. Things are being done behind the scenes and we don't see everything that is going on. It's frustrating to me too because I wish he could have been arrested 3 months ago so I know where you're coming from though.

Could it possibly be that they don't want to arrest until they can for sure hold him for good, in case he were to try to carry through his suicide threat? He is obviously not stable, and someone on the other blog said he had indicated he would not go to jail-I took it to mean he would kill himself before that happened. I don't know anything about what LE consults w/the family on in cases like this, but if I knew the person who hurt my sister may get out of rightful punishment even by killing himself, I wouldn't want that to happen. I'd want him to have to face the judicial system and the punishment they handed down. If this were the case, I guess there would be no choice but to wait until LE has enough proof to get him and hold him for good....

I'm sure that they want the most evidence so that they can get the best conviction. That's hard to do without a body - not impossible, but certainly more difficult. Now that SP is off the force, I'd bet that some of his old buddies are taking this opportunity to put some distance between themselves and him, so something might break here in the near future? I don't think SP has the courage nor the despiration to kill himself... he's too arrogant.

My worst nightmare is that Sam will kill himself. I don;t think he will. I agree...He loves himself way too much for that. He loves only himself and is concerned only for himself. He will stick it out denying all the while, and telling himself that without her body being found, there is little chance of himn being charged with the crime he committed. IF and I say again, IF she is found he will then talk to attempt to get a plea agreement. I don;t think suicide is an option to him. In his delussional mind he thinks he can get out of this. He always has gotten away with things he should not have and I said it before and I will say it again, this is what has empowered him to feel he is above any thing or any body and can get away with anything.

He won't kill himself - he is getting some sick satisfaction out of watching the officials run around in circles. He will stick around just to prove a point and the point is what we have heard time and time again "that he could hide a body where nobody can find it". Sick, sick, sick!!!!

Is this a possibility? When the wellness call came in, could it have been taken by someone who was friendly with all parties, knowing bc and sp were tight. Maybe kept the well check off the record and called bc and asked if he would mind going over to check things out...does anyone know where bc lived? Was it nearby the Cordell Rd. home?

I looked it up and found a listing for "Harbin A. Chaffin" on Napier street. I'm estimating that would be about 10, maybe 15 minutes at the most from Cordell rd, especially that early in the a.m.

You should look at one of the timelines to be sure, but I believe the well check was called in to the non-emergency 911 number on that Thursday AM early-that's when the patrol or otherwise officer saw Theresa's car gone but sp's there, then about an hour later hers was there and his was gone-I believe the timeframe was 6 A.M. - 7A.M....
